Makiling Onsen Hotel: My All-Time Favorite Place To Relax

We all get tired of work. We all get stressed for different reasons. Thus, we all deserve to take a break to recharge. And my favorite place to go for a short vacation; Makiling Onsen Hotel. :)

For me and my friends, we find this place to be very relaxing. Aside from the fact that this place doesn't get really crowded every time we visit, it is also easy to get here from Manila. This place is just in Los Banos, Laguna, not too far away from Metro Manila.

Also, this hotel is Japanese inspired. One of it's main attraction is its "onsen" or hot bath. There are a lot of Japanese guests that goes there just for the hot bath. For the "authentic" Japanese hot bath experience, hourly charges do apply. They do have rooms that have built in onsen inside. Also, somewhere close to the adult pool is the hot bath that is free for everyone to enjoy. You can relax those tired muscles on that amazing hot bath. Just don't fall asleep :)

Aside from the hot bath, there are also room with tatami floor and low tables. And to complete that Japanese feel, yukata is also provided once you checked in the hotel.

Just like most resorts in Laguna, this hotel also have swimming pools. They have a kiddie pool and an adult pool. You can swim anytime you want. The pools are open the whole day and night.

After feeling pampered and relax, who wouldn't love a bowl of Ramen? This hotel also have a restaurant that serves mainly Japanese cuisine and some Korean ones. After taking your orders, appetizers will be serve to your table free of charge.

They also do have KTV bar. Unfortunately, we weren't able to check it out. I'll update this blog once I get to visit their KTV bar. :)

Overall, I can say that I really love this place. We've been here for five times already and will definitely visit this place again. I really feel relaxed and comfortable in this hotel.

Otaku Expo 2014 [day 1]

Hooray! I went to Otaku Expo yesterday at SM Megamall. The event was not what I expected it to be. The place wasn't too crowded, which is really great. There are lots of merchandisers around where you can buy tons of anime-related goods from pillows, mugs, keychains, shirts, etc. Of course, there were these collectible items and awesome toys that are quite rare to find.

I arrived in the venue in the afternoon and I am fortunate enough to have watched an awesome band perform. Asterysk* together with Kitsune Da-O made the crowd go crazy with their baby metal song cover.

After the program ends, I went around the place to see what the booths have to offer. I then came across a booth that exhibits awesome figure. I took some shots of these anime action figures as they are really awesome.

Any anime convention won't be complete without Cosplayers. This is the day when all their efforts to bring out those creative and artistic sides of them ad portray their favorite characters.

Icel Adventures!!

Hello everyone! I just thought of starting another blog. In here, I will be posting different adventures that I've been through. This may include anime conventions, out of town trips, gigs, etc. I'll also post photos that I'll take during those adventures, especially for anime conventions. I'd like to test my artistic side and see if I can take decent shots :p
